Hell, I think I'll probably just leave anything I acquire during my tenure here with the folks I work with. Doesn't sound like it's even close to worth the hassle, and the stories I'm hearing just sound like the UAE said EFF EWE to the contracting industry.

Yeeaahhhhh...

You are lucky. There is not an airport in the world that will not roll you up if they spot NVGs of any type. In the US, you would be violating the ITAR import/export laws. It's a federal offense to ship NVGs into or out of the USA unless you are liscensed to do so by the federal government. Violation of ITAR can get you 10 years in federal prison for a first offense...no early parole.
