Dubai really isn't so bad. I have to think there was more invoved than calling a national a "ass"

If you do have to spend a evening or more in Dubai it's best to stay in Burj Dubai (the old section of town) plenty of western lifestyle there with little interference.

I never had any trouble in Dubai myself, just wanted to give a heads-up for anyone traveling through. She finally got home after a total of 1 night in jail and 75 days stuck in the UAE. Minimal assistance from the State Department during that time, their best advice was to wait for the case to go to trial.
