Post subject: Best shooting course for OGA vetting

If anyone has gone to the certain vetting courses with certain companies for OGA contracts, you know the shooting standard can be quite high. So what are some good prep courses for this sort of thing? I have viewed the USTC training catalog and had seen some interesting courses, I know the emphasis for the these courses is "SPEED". Anyone attend a good shooting course that would closely follow, and most prepare you for this?

When I attended the USTC courses, they stressed accuracy, then speed. Always speed, but accuracy, then speed.

They seem to have multiple instructors teaching similar courses, any one instructor better or do they have there own method of teaching?

If speed is what you are looking for, then look into Roger's Shooting school. Very difficult, but you will improve.

Shooting is a perishable skill , if you do not do it often then you loose your capability little by little . Going to a school will only do so much for you .

If you have an offer to vet for an OGA course, contact them and explain what you are looking for in training.

If you are trying to learn what the courses of fire are, don't bother.

Shoot as much as you can, using a shot timer and a standard cardboard silhouette type target with the 3,4, and 5 ring. In addition, go to any of the shit-loads of schools out there, but make sure you can shoot from the concealed. Drop legs are for old fat retired dudes, so don't waste your time training with one. Also, train with a slick kit, you don't need a bungling array of pouches competing with a pregnant chick. Don't psyche yourself out, its not as bad as people think. You will be fine, unless you ass-clown it up out there.
