Post subject: Tactical Vests

Hey all I know I have been MIA for a few years but I am back and still have all my working parts. I've been looking around for a new tactical vest that is able to hold my USP 45, has pouches for either M16 or AK, Also other pouches for mission essential items and the ability add and subtract as needed. I have found the following from the online store from Opticsplanet.com

Leapers (PVC-V547BL) at 49.95
Mako (QT-VT-GMTacVest-GM-TV1) at 55.90
BlackHawk (30EV26bk-L) at 135.71
TAC Force (S86023L) at 103.96
Eagle Industries (PM-TV-TAC-V2-LGE) at unknown price

Personally I do and always will pay for the best quality. So has anyone have used or bought anyone of theses products and if so what would you recommend?
Thanks in advance

Welcome back, this is the one I use. I have had 2 of them and they have held up pretty well over 5 years in Iraq.

Mako does not seem to hold up well, I have had decent luck with Blackhawk the older gear was much better than their new stuff made in Vietnam.
+1 on AWS gear I have a model similar to OPSboss that has been abused and still holding well. I am currently using an MSA RAV (they bought out paraclete) and have been very pleased with it and they make every pouch under the sun, also you may want to check Survival armor out of FL, they make a decent Vest as well.

I currently wear an Eagle CIRUS Maritime vest. The land version has been hard to come by in my size however the Maritime has been working quite well. The other vest that I've looked at getting is a LWPC (light weight plate carrier) made by a company called TYR. I have heard nothing but great things about the vest. The only downside is they are almost $600. All depends on what you're looking for though. How many mags are you looking at carrying?
