A Polish underfold is always a good choice.

Stock Chinese is best if you are going to store it in a cache somewhere. The Chinese is reliable enough and the stock parts wont corrode like aftermarket parts will....and if they do, who cares, there's not much money invested. An Ak will function with corroded parts anyway.

I tuned an AK-47 Romanian with Israeli made uper and lower handguard(polimer) with mobile pistol grip on lower handguard. Also I fixed an receiver cover with rails for scopes . Stock for AK is probably the best that one from Galil or try an M-4 one if you want to performe in rapid fire.
As RedPoint , try an I.O.R made. It is cheaper and same quality with other by known brands.

As far as the vertical grip question personal pref, I have used the Samson grip, Crimson trace and Knights, all were solid and stayed mounted under heavy use. Its a nice idea on SBR's to keep hands from slipping forward under stress, etc.

I dig Ergo-grips... they have top notch customer service as well. Had an issue with a forward grip with a throw lever and they were more than happy to replace it no questions asked.

I'm considering the Ultimak compact hand-guard vs. long or standard. What are your thoughts?
