What are your thoughts?

Personally I'm picky about boots (on my feet a lot).

Finally wore out my Oakley SI's and want a change.

Need a desert, ACU approved, all-terrain boot. Running shoe technology preffered.

Belleville came out with the new TR line. The Kiowa and Khyber look sweet. Anyone try them?

Over the years I always had trouble with boots fitting me well, to make it worse I wear a 14D or 13EE depending on the boot. I tried them all and went to wearing Danner's back in the mid 90's and have never worn anything else since. I like their Acadia and they make a desert Acadia thats approved for gov't. They have several in their line that are like tennis shoes as well, don't know all the models They also have a rebuild program so if you trash the boots doing god knows what or wear out the bottoms they will recraft them for you.

I've always had an issue with boots. Doesn't help that one foot is slightly narrower than the other ha ha.

Danner makes a nice boot.

Oakley is nice and comfy but Merrel will give them a run for their money.

I have never been able to wear Danners, they are too narrow, even the wide sizes. Merrels are also cut narrow but do make nice foot wear. I have had good luck with Converse boots. Feel like a sneaker, very comfortable.

I like the Converse boots as well. Very comfortable and very good support. The soles don't wear as well as some of the others mentioned.

Merrell boots look nice. Can't seem to find an ACU approved one though.

Just noticed that Nike has released the SFB (Special F.... Boot). Looks like a regular GI boot but with a comfortable sole (nike free sole).
