Has anybody used or T&E the new bullpup 308 from Kel-tec? I keep getting told great things but other than seeing them at shot show I can't find anyone who has shot/used them. Any help would be appreciated

The bullpup has been out for a little while, it uses FAL mags and is chambered in 308, the overall length is right around 26". I saw one in Vegas at the shot show and have heard great things but not from anyone I would consider credible. My experience with Kel-tec has been similar to your description. I'm sure we will stay with the M1A but I always like to see whats current especially in that size.

Huge fan of the McMillan M1A, my dream .308 package.

Ur right they started as "thug guns" or so that seemed here as well. Ksleo I agree with you one of our guys recently got one, nice set up. I have two M1A's one on a sage EBR stock and one full size M1A scoped but I got those before the SOCOM came out. Great weapon system love them. Either way what started this was the rep told our agency that we could get these (Kel-tec's) for half the cost of the M1A's, since Im the TL for our team I got the "check into it". Like I said no one seems to know jack about these things other than the reps trying to sell them. I did come across a recent gun review of them in SOF yesterday when researching it and the author seemed to support the reps claims, but again no one I consider credible. The sad thing is I asked the rep for a T&E sample when this first came up and Im still waiting, if these things are that good it should survive being used by my guys for a few months.

Although I haven't fired the RFB, I would steer clear of it. I say this because new weapon models are like new car models...glitchy.

And not to mention Kel-Tec is a questionable brand as of late.

Although not .308/7.62s, may I suggest Aug-Steyr or FAMAS, two of the most successful bullpups made.

If you're looking for a .308/7.62, I think a MK-24 or M1A would fit nicely.

But if you're content on buying a 7.62 bullpup, then this maybe the way to go. If you do buy the RFB, a review would be much appreciated!

I agree with you. Like I was saying I don't plan on giving up my M1A as it works flawsless, my boss simply wanted me to check into it. I agree with you I've not been a Kel-tec fan I was just asking. He was interested because of cost and compact size. If they do send me a T&E I will def let you guys know my findings. I just got done on a T&E of the new ithaca 37 LE shotguns. They are now made here in Ohio.
