1. I've been made aware that the Secret Service conducts sponsored close protection for LEOs. Can't seem to find any more info on it than that.

2. Same thing for Dep. of Justice. Can't find any more info on that either.

Any points of contact or additional information/advice would be very helpful.

Did you check FLETC or with your local SS office? Some times they run LE laison courses. May not be exactly what you are looking for or not.

FLETC....haven't yet.
SS....plan on it upon return from OCONUS.
Also have my training manager on it.
Got any contacts for FLETC or anywhere else?

Yes I have a few for FLETC in both Charleston and Glynco. You may want to try the training finder it will search the entire FLETC data base. I did a quick search based on your title but no exact match a few that may have aspects of what you are looking for but I would assume not the course you desire. The site is www.fletc.gov/training...ning_form/ shoot me a PM I may have some other options for you.
