There are 700,000 physicians in the US. They cause 120,000 accidental deaths per year. That is .171 per physician.....There are 80 Million gun owners in the US. There are 1,500 accidental gun deaths per year. That is .000188 per gun owner. So statistically doctors are 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

I intentionally withheld the numbers on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention!!!

Okay, then, yes, I am in agreement on the principle provided that the numbers are correct. I've never liked being in hospitals nor any medical facility. And, I generally am quite leery of any doctor or lawyer, news media types included. And, the notion of being treated by an over-priced specialist who highly recommends a course of action scares me more than an otherwise equally qualified doctor earning substantially less but practicing his/her fine craft because of their sincere compassionate values.

Guns don't kill people anymore than vehicles kill people. Stupid people doing stupid things kill people. Doctors included. All the more reason why our right to keep and bare arms should not be infringed. Nor, for that matter, our right to use said arms should the need arise.
