I have a PayPal MoneyMarket account paying a little over 5%...I've also had an Ing Orange "savings" account that pays almost 4 1/2.
I have a sep-ira, a roth, and a general investment fund (mutual funds). Looking to get some rental property.
Anybody else got any ideas???
If you don't have a money market account, look into one. Good interest rates and near cash availability.

Undeveloped land. I did it in Port Charlotte Fla about six years ago and made a mint. It was just baren land with prospects for development and then it took off. Lots were 5-6k at the time, now your talking hundreds. Undeveloped means no headaches, hurricanes, tornadoes, insurance....
They are building a bypass superhighway for the Hoover dam, should be complete in a year or two, this opens up the mojave desert in AZ for massive development. Good time to look into it. Do your research though, Golden Valley area.
I usually do google searches and try to find massive highway projects and then see what the project is going to open up as far as development. It is a speculating business, but if you are getting in low because you have the forsight, there are big profits to be made. Also do census checks and see which states are on the rise, like AZ, NC,TN people need to have housing and these states still have alot of land available.
Again, undeveloped land means no headaches. That is where my money goes.

If you have your money invested in 5% return, send it to me. I will give you a flat 5% on your principal.

Within the lat few days, Home Depot announced a huge stock buy back. Their price should go up after years of Lowe's beating up on them. If your investment in H.D. is substantial, you need to go to the annual meeting and do some yelling.
Disney , is a safe bet. A consistent performer.
Personally, I like Real Estate. The market may go up or down , but the next day I will still own it and can still walk thru it and not realize the actual loss until the day of sale. Plus you get to make the decisions and not some suit wearing thief....
