As I have learned since I've been a member of this forum. As LEO's we have to get our experience in some form other than LE, unless you have mititary experience. The best way I have seen is to go with a security gig. Look at Dyncorp, ITT, CSA, G4S, or a simple google search will help as well. You should also do a search on this forum. There's info galore on this very subject. Don't do as I did at first and stick your nose up at low paying security gigs. This will ultimatly get you the job you really want. Any experience OCONUS in this field is just that, something to put on your resume other than just your LE exp. There are plenty of good guys here that got their start doing a simple security gig, and now make 6 figures.
