Need some help in locating a source and POC for procurement of a used Brinks type armored car. I understand that several Armored Service outfits donate used armored cars to police tactical units. However, I have had no luck asking for information on the Armored Co. websites. Only Loomis has replied and they just destroy their old units.
Any suggestions?

Near you? Not a clue really. You might try to find out who repairs them and see what they do with the retired fleet trucks.
No grant money available? Lastly, check with the DOE guys.

Wytac,
Try contacting Brinks CEO level, not the local biz. When we were looking, we went up the chain to the top and got a good response. Don't send an email, write a letter on Dept letterhead with your outline of what you want, signed by the COP or Sheriff, include something about how the community will benefit etc.
We went with DRMO as we found a Peace Keeper for free, but those are few and far between.
Good luck.
