Sorry I haven't put this out a little earlier guy's. Dyncorp has gotten the approval to go ahead and plus up their LEO Trainer program for the Afghanistan Police by almost 300. The deadline will not be for awhile so if you've been out of Law Enforcement less than 5 years and have the creds then put the resume in. The following is part of the email I had recieved:

We currently have an excellent opportunity to send additional police officers to Afghanistan to be imbedded with American Troops and assist in the training of Afghanistan police officers. The Department of State has authorized us an additional 296 new positions adding to the 543 IPA’s currently serving in the program.

There are certain requirements that must be met in order to qualify an individual for the positions. An applicant must have been a police officer serving in a municipal, county or state law enforcement agency for a minimum of 5 years, (preferred 6 years or more), a supervisor or field training officer and can not have been out of police work more than five years. An applicant must also successfully pass a background check, a medical and dental exam, a hostile mission assessment, a physical agility test, and attend a training class before leaving for the mission. Successful applicants must also be able to obtain a security clearance.

The Afghanistan program has excellent pay and benefits including tax incentives. If you feel you qualify for these positions you will need to fill out an on-line application at policemission.com or update an application that you may have started in the past. This will enable a recruiter to call you and get you started in the process. You can also contact our hot line at 1-866-816-0722. These positions will be filled by the end of October 2009, so please contact us immediately.

Good luck guys and gals!

get a good sleeping bag & some baby wipes as the places you might be at FOBS and combat outposts are pretty sparse, some with no running water. If you can find a water bag that is even better so you can feel the bag with bottled water and take a shower at least every other day. If your at a main FOB or RTC, then no need for the above. 50/50 chance on where you might end up. Good luck.

just had a friend get back from 2 yrs in Iraq with Dyncorp as a Police Advisor.....Iraq is ending and they are sending most to Afghan....pay is 115K....time off is great!! about a month off for every 3 months worked, and honestly, their is A LOT of down time!! Training isn't as good as you would think and after a little while in country, it seems like your just there for the pay check.
