Question...I have pain on the inside of each of my knees on the bones next to my knee cap...one leg is worse than the other...I dont think it would be shin splints cause it's up to high...you think it may just be my running shoes or something...there old & worn out...noway i could have injured each knee in the same place...it's not to the point of where i can't train though...I'm still running...it gets more uncomfortable later in the evenings...I run in the mornings...let me know if any of you guys have had the same symptoms or have any idea what it is.

If you have just gotten back into training/ running recently its probably the pounding associated with the stress and impact of the knees from the surface your running on.Not much you can do about it except suck it up and rest your knees /body about every other day. I think over time the pain will work itself out and you will be good to go. Jack Daniels and Rum also helps.

Meigs,

Have you thought about getting orthodic insersts for your running shoes. You feet might be impacting crooked when they hit the ground instead of flat. I had the same problem, got to the point where I went from running 5 to 7 to gritting my teeth just to pull out 2 miles cause of the pain factor. Went and put some orthodics in my shoes now I am rite as rain. It might also be a cartilage wear down in your joint. There is a supplemnet you can use, I have a friend who is a doctor and he reccomends it says it takes about 2 months to work but better than going under the knife. Just my 1 cent as a FNG

Invest in a new pair of running shoes and change the beds(inserts) every six months

Meigs534...remember "pain is weakness leaving the body" :P No offense, but your avatar is kinda creeping me out. Shocked I don't so much mind the carnage, just something about it. Mr. Green
