As a student of Aikibugei and Kenjutsu I cant help but look at the EP and PSD contractor as a modern Samurai. If you look at the philosophy and creed of the ancient fudal warrior, you will see that you guys are the modern variant of such a noble class. You guys are ridiculed, hated, spat at, and condemned for the job you do, (due in part to some numb nuts that had no class or concience). But as I see it, you deserve the same respect as your Japanese predecessors.
Hope this give some of you some insight and inspiration to look deeper into your lives and not second guess your chosen profession or life path. If any of you get a chance read "Hagakure". It will give you more insight into the mind of a 16th century Samurai. So not to get too philisophical or Aisianistic on you....Watch your six out there.

"The Book of Five Rings" good reading..

"Book of Five Rings" is like the "Bible". You have to study each book in depth and apply the theories in practice. The best way to use this book is to spend about 6 mths on each chapter and then when you are done, start over. A lot of Japanese business schools require in depth study of this book. Its part of the final exams in most cases.
Ive done a LOT of research on Shinmen Munisai (Miyamoto Musashi) for a comic I was working on. His life story is even more interesting than his work. This guy was some piece of work....even for Feudal Era Japan.
