My wife wants me to come home and stay home. That line of work is what I know best and is what I can make the most money at in this economy. I'll send a PM with approx return date.

I'm just curious about the overall morale of the dept and how open the city is to giving regular pay raises. I know a lot about their benefits as I have done my own research. But there are things that you wont know unless you talk to some one that has worked there for at least five years or so. I'm basically wanting to know if most are happy working for that dept or if they wished they were somewhere else and why.

I know its going to be the same ole no matter which dept you are at, but there are some things that make it easier to work for one dept over the others. I'm looking at all of the special assignment oportunities they have there as opposed to the smaller depts. Thinking about going back into SWAT or try to get them to send me to EOD training.
