Post subject: TCCC info

First thing, before I get fragged, I have done extensive research on the site here about said subject, but I am seeking advice for non medic types. I work at an independent detachment that performs diving and maritime operations, sometimes in remote areas. We have no corpsman, medic or medical support. The work is inherently dangerous and I want my guys to be prepared beyond the normal ABCs. We have to perform duties as medtechs in a chamber so we are all skilled on IV insertion care etc., but beyond this, other than me and one other gent, the training the guys have had is basically finger in the dike. I am looking at TC3 training for my guys, and have 3 routes. Try and have the clinic medics squeeze us in, say 4 years or so. We can pay for some civilian guys to do it, though it would sap my budget for the rest of the year, we work in a joint military/civilian unit so they control our pennies, or we can obtain the cds and literature from a local unit, and crack some cold ones and learn that way. Any advice, info, direction would be appreciated greatly. If anyone is in the Seattle area, cold ones on me, or coffee..We have alot of that here

Try Remote Medical International, RAM program. Allthough RAM is for EMT-I and above, they may be able to tailor something for you.

Look at a good PHTLS program, again, EMT or better required.

Try squeezing into a CLS/TCCC course with a local training group as a "contractor".

Any of the big three would probably pick you up. DYN, Triple canopy, or ZE all are available on the net
