Im alone, outnumbered, underpayed, underequipped, low on beer and the non-USMC guys are looking froggy. Somebody better tell me where the nearest whore house is so I can get some nooky before I go hunting!

there I done it. One post for the side that gets everything done. Posted in the usual un-constructive Marine fashion.

You must be old school, I heard the new Corp has stress cards.

Nothing of the sort.
I'm old school Marine, 3 Bt Parris Island. Far from headquarters and real Marines are made there.
1h, you're not alone, I'm 3/3 FMF from way back, K-Bay to Beruit and back again.

1Hard, anotherone checking in!
Hardknocks,
It sounds like you were running around Kbay the same time I was.
I was deployed with 1/3 when the MB in Beruit was bombed. I spent about 2 years at the 1MarBde NBC School, we may have crossed paths there if you attended.
One last question, Col. Radcliff was leading the 3rd Marine Regiment at the time, I was wondering if you knew how many stars he ended up with on his collar?
regards,
Larry Schlack

We actually were offshore(3/3) for about 40 days, did the forward party and were to replace them. Grenada broke out and we started steaming there.
I did terminal leave in April of 85. I understand they quit Wes PAcs and started doing fly aways to Okie then float out of there.
I don't know about Radcliff. Krulak was our Battalion Commander, ended up as Commadant. Another former BN CO was Sheehan, he wound up in the Pentagon.
Pelilu, Tarawa and New Orleans.
