Jong,
I agree with you that DMI Course was good at one time. The course of instruction has not changed as far as I know. I have more information from the inside of the company that I can not and will not share on the forum. The course is not what I have a problem with as much as their ethics. There have been some problems with them and the way they conduct business. I will say that there have been issues with the owner that cause me to boycot his business. Nothing personal from my end but from friends of mine who have gotten the raw end of alot of things. For that reason I chose not to promote DMI or their course. I can not promote a company when I disagree with there ethics. I feel if I do that then I am compromising my ethics at the same time.
I also don't feel comfortable providing information on certain companies on the forum do to their exposure. It is not that I am trying to hold all the info in I just don't think that it is my place to put a companies information out if they do not want it out there and available to the GP. Sorry if you think this was some sort of power strugle. I just don't feel it is my place.

Doc PH,
No worries then. I definitely understand how things can work out. Like my experience with GORGRP.
Will hit you up on PM with some questions.

Z,
If you're in Canada, the CTOMS is your best bet...Do you need to recert or are you looking for austere (tactical/combat medicine specifically, or both?

CTOMS is open to LEO and mil only for now looks like I'm going south then.
I don't need a recert so far, just some hands on drills on basics stuff (tourniquet, QuickClot, IV, stitches...) that you usually don't practice during the EMT course.
Still looking, thanks for your help

Anyone have a link or contact info for CTOMS? All I find is a Canadian med supply company. Is this the same CTOMS class that was run by USUHS?
thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear you had a negative experince with them in Belize Jong. I had a good/great experience with them in Greece and in Belize and I believe they can offer the needed training.
YMMV
