Dom Rep and Costa Rica,,, We can own, and we can bank there.. My first and second choices, I have a guy in both if you want their info. Both can set the whole thing up but it is in your best intrest to obtain any financing you may want.

take a look at www.escapeartist.com or James site. Not sure about the posting of sites, but they dont seem to be competitors?

MattVonB, I have some friends that lived in the DR (Dominican Republic) they said they loved it. The biggest problems that I heard of were the power outtages, lack of good A/C units, and corrupt police. Those issues might be issolated in the specific place they were living, although I know most foreign, less developed countries I have been to all seem to share those common downfalls. From the sound of it, I guess my best bet is to visit a few countries south of the border to check them out for myself. I have been to the Bahamas but that's as far as my experience goes in that area. Thanks for all the references for areas. Great site by the way, I like that it has links to real estate in so many different countries.

Cdutchess78, nope, I sure haven't thought about Belize. Is it just beautiful or is there a decent night life and other fun things to do around there as well? By the way, I know I rock, infact I rock so hard I tend to melt the soles of my shoes.
