yosemite, you beat me to the punch.

I use several different bags. I will say that in my opinion, I don't care for the STOMP. Too big and not set up well. That's just me. If you are just running some BLS medcaps, stay small. I'm going to suggest that you talk to some of the CA medics who have worked that area and know what is needed.

I do like the M5 and the M9, the 9 is thin, carries what I need, and has molle attach points. I also use a WCH on patrols.

Some guy's have no qualms whatsoever about how much they pay for something. not trying to offend anyone, just a statement of fact! Like those that would pay 300 to 600 dollars for a pair of sunglasses and not blink an eye. The "stomp" type bag's/multi compartment/ big company name's that are specifically for "medical" purposes are WAY OVERPRICED! The Maxpedition series are good and come in the various sizes and are durable. You can always add additional pouches without making your bag too big or cumbersome. So what if it's not jumpable!! Hell, who's doing jumps with a med bag that's not in the military "or already have one that been provided by the company or entity they work for. The size of the bag would also be dependent on how long you're looking at for your patient care. My main bag was from London Bridge, but it had been donated to me with no cost to myself (truly a blessing). I had used Maxpedition afterwards when I didn't need such a large bag and it worked well. I have other Maxpedition bags for different task's that I may be on. Then again my team could expect to be bunkered up for no more than 30 to an hour before the calvary arrived. Hope you find a good one. Just my two cents.

Good responses. While on active duty I carried the STOMP bag. Before I retired I "acquired" a North American Rescue trauma bag. I am now using it here in Afghanistan. So far I like the bag better than the STOMP. Others here are certainly correct in that more is not always better. Anyway here is the link to the NARP bag. It's to bad they do not show the inside of the bag though.

Along the lines of "how much is enough", I started carrying the Blueline Tactical ResQ-PAK Level 3 kits from
ResQ-Pak

Now carrying the PIG Trauma Pack from JBC Corp.
PIG PACK
This is now my favorite bag. I have several bags, STOMP, NARP, Paladin, etc. each has its pros and cons. so far the PIG Pack has the least cons.

I modified a mountain/ hiking pack that had top and bottom access. It gave me practice at my stitching skills Smile. I wanted something easy to access, not bulky, and could carry what I needed.
