Post subject: Changes in EMS

Today marks my 30th year in EMS...I've seen a lot of changes such as:

Driving Cadillacs to Triple K-128 Specification Type I II and III's
Basics of CPR Head-Tilt Neck-Lift to Jaw-Thrust
Two-man application of Philadelphia c-collar to adjustable c-collars
Mega-codes with standard to high-dose Epi
EOA's, EGTA's to Supraglottic blind insertion airways
Increased skill levels for Basics and Intermediates
The M-35 Ferno to Styker's
Introduction of Adenosine and Amioderone
Mono-phasic to bi-phasic defibrillation
Intraosseous infusions

What are some of your most memorable changes/experiences?

Chase

Chase,

You drove caddy's too?! Damn! I miss 'em!

Finding out that all the drugs we used to dump in during codes actually brought my "kill rate" up to serial killler status...

Started EMS in '77

Chase my hat is off to you sir. I hit my 22nd year this month. For the younger ones here EMS as we know it just got its real start when Chase was getting in to it. That makes him a pioneer in the field.

Life Pak 3??? We were using MRL's before Physio-Control was even born...LOL...They weighed equivelant to a boat anchor...Here's something interesting too...I was actually born in an ambulance...A 53 Packard Henny:
