Been on it for about 45 days now. It is a kick in the nuts, if you want it to be. It is the least boring, most intense workout regimen I've ever been on.
Crossfit.com is a good website to find the workout of the day (WOD) on.
My medic and I are 3 on 1 off right now. I've seen my run and overall endurance improve greatly. I've been out of the gym for a LONG time and put on a bunch of weight. I've lost about 12 pounds since the first week of September and have gone from no pull ups to sets of 5.
As with any workout, you only get out what you put in. Go til you puke and you'll see the results first hand. If nothing else, you'll learn to eat lighter and puke less!

The 300 workout is a butt kicker.
So are most of the benchmark girls.
Those guys at Gymjones are animals brother. Pro athletes without much of a day job, based on their "all day" workouts that leave them slumped on the floor in a puddle of various bodily fluids!
I thought it was just circuit training too, but doing ladder breathing cleans and other Oly lifts aren't usually stations on a circuit.

It's a tough program to stick with individually with an 80% drop out rate, but the USMC has adopted it across the board for their recruit PFT standards...The diet is what sets it apart from circuit training...If you're really interested in the program, click on the link to the palientology (caveman) diet...Very informative.

IMO Crossfit is the bomb!! Follow some of the links on their site to individual Crossfit gyms. Each one has their WODs and their own spin on things.
If you are out to build some real Operational Fitness do some research on Russian Kettle Bells. Once again only my opinion but, kettle bells beat traditional free weights hands down. Dragondoor.com is a real good starting point.
PS: Crossfit uses a lot of kettle bell training in many of their programs.

Two of my buddies have talked to me about it, so I guess I'll be hitting up the websight today to see what the hype is about. I'm all about some cardio and strength endurance.... Fire and Maneuver ya know.....

I've been Crossfit'n for just over a year and have had alot of success. This came at a good time since I was more than bored with my current workout program. Be prepared to kick your own a$$ but you will also see and feel your efforts. Be sure to read the warnings on overworking your muscles. (no joke) Don't be afraid to lower the amount of weight and/or rounds you do for the workouts until your body has adapted to the intensity of this kind of training. Good luck and welcome to the addiction!
