If you got the time and the money go to your local community college for 2 years and get your RN cert... then you can challenge the National Registry Paramedic test and have your RN/Paramedic which is priceless.

Is that only possible in Australia?

Got back from Ft. Bragg last night after taking a 2 hour EMT test. I forgot how much fun Bragg and Fayetteville can be when no one is looking!

I just came back from attending the SOLO WFR (wilderness first responder) course this is a great course. I can retune for two weeks and get my WEMT qualifications and national registry if I can pull it of this would give me a EMT-B any advice if this is worth getting. And than I would have to get a job as a EMT in a city to get some experience?

The same people are still hiring qualified medics or the "equivilant" as they always are in Iraq.

KBR, BW, TC, and Dyn are the big ones.
LOGCAP, WPPS,CIVPOL

The other big medic employment contract was the CMC project which has gone the way of the dodo. (Or until the next permeation.)

Afghan has much of the same companies.

Its the smaller ones that dont need as many so they are taken quickly and usually dont advertise until a vacancy exists.

U can also see medics solicited for pending contracts, which is no job until awarded and your resume is one file. ITT is an example of that.

Surf the net, read the quals and keep getting educated.
