Baghdadops - if you are currently in the VBC/BIAP area and want to kick some pads, then let me know..., we have a group of KM Instructors certified by IKMF & KM Worldwide who get together three times a week.

Great video..looks a lot like what we incorporate into our Taijutsu. I always felt any martial arts that incorporates realistic ground fighting is effective since a majority of fights do end up there. Maga or aikido or Taijutsu it all ends up in the end as bruce lee said once. "a punch is just a punch and a kick is just a kick"

Anyone know any schools that offer something in the range of a 5-10 days or so krav maga course? I live life in the states 30 days at a time so I'd rather not waste the money getting membership at a regular civilian krav maga place..... I'd like to take a good course where I can at least develop some sort of foundation in it, since regular training is not possible.

Don't get me wrong, I like Krav Maga as it appeals to my style of fighting and common sense approach to self-defense. It's got many great "get to the point of the matter" uses. But what's the practical difference between Krav Maga and street fighting, other than style and, perhaps, technique? You know, the life-long street fighter who has incorporated some boxing, judo, grappling, wrestling, karate and ju-juitsu -- for examples -- into his fight? This seems to me much like the well thought out, time-proven no non-sense combato approach that's been around for quite some time.

This is a list of training centers world wide. Just out of interest where are you in the states?
