Why be afraid of the IRS? An armed population is a free population.
Patrick Henry :
"Three millions of people, armed in the holy cause of liberty, and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us. Beside, sir, we shall not fight our battles alone. There is a just God who presides over the destinies of Nations, and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us."
War is Inevitable, March 1775.

Just one more snigglet about the "tax" issue. Did you also know that when you sign your tax returns every year, you are signing a contract to pay your taxes next year. This is the reason so many people lose in court. This mechanism was obviously a covert conspiracy to hide the efficacy, or lack thereof, of the non-existant law. Those who file , even once, are hence forth subject to the contract....they have you!
But, the courts don't just rule on statutes. They also rule based on case law for suits and conflicts that hadn't been resolved through legislation. There is precidence here, as evidenced by many of the suits referenced. So you shouldn't get you panties in too much of a bunch. What do you think would really happen if nobody paid income taxes? Income taxes are the only issue here. All other taxes are statutory BTW.
