Post subject: Witch Style

Ok hear is the NooB question of the day.
Witch style and or type of Martial Arts or H2H should a person look into?
I ask this comeiny from this stand point. A person needs to have a solid foundation in H2H but may not want to spend 10 + years in a dojo being tought 45% skills and 55% mysticasim. Now please dont get me wrong the spiritual side of Martial arts works for some people But not all. So ware would a person go to get the training they need and what would be the best training to get.

Thanks
Dan

I have been around martial arts for some time now. I think Akido, Jujutsu or Jujitsu can work for what you are looking for. I like it because in law enforcement and CP work you are not ripping the guys arm off and beating him with it you are avoiding confrontation and maybe controling the adversary, then if absolutely neccessary you can move into a more violent, lethal and debilitating move. The point is start with something and stick with it. Once you get into that enviorment you will be better educated to see what works for you.

I have never known spirituality to stop you from getting your ass beat unless you can sit down with the adversary and pray together. LOLOLOL

I've dabbled with a few different types, but one of my favorites styles that I've liked and feel to be very useful, is the Haganah system. I've been doin' it for two yrs, but for the last 6 months or so I've not had that much time to work out. It's very cut and dry, and straight to the point. Which is exactly what I was lookin' for.

I like Jeet Kun Do personally and then Haganah.

Training???? Is that what you've code named it now ...Slut??? Or do you mean that you are a slut & you are trsining Frank on how to be one too? Geez....you should have put this invitation on a neon billboard, it would have been not so tempting as it is here!

I too am a fan of Aki-jujutsu & Akido. Nothing beats a good ol street tactic either. Learn & follow, never adapt to the style of your opponent, if he starts dancing, that doesn't mean you have too, chances are he knows his style alot better than you do, in addition to that stick with what you know for a art it is respectful & awaited from the forefathers of your "kampf kunst"
