Hey man...I've been training in MMA with various camps for about 10 years. I've found the combination of Muy Thai, Judo, and Jiu Jitsu/Sambo work wonders! It makes you a pretty well rounded fighter. You're good for anything standing, judo for the throws and locks, and jiu jitsu and sambo for your ground game! Not to mention getting in the ring for REAL leather on face contact! Not that tai kwon do kata, standing in a line HI YA'!!! B.S.
A martial arts background is great, but nothing can make up for a good mind-set and knowing WHEN and WHERE to end the confrontation all together! Hard to protect your principle when you're on the ground scrapping with some drunk bum in a nightclub! Just my 2 pennies!

Well said Hog!
As a CPO your job is to neutralize the threat quickly and effectively and evacuate your principal from any potential danger, NOT to outperform the scenes from the Matrix.
I'm curious heklerekipa, are you in the market or looking to get in?

All you really need is some good quick strikes, pressure points, and maybe some locks. Remember...its all about cover and evacuate with the client...not fighting the bad guy>
