How did you guys pay for startup costs when you were first getting started? I've got so/so credit (bad stuff from years ago), should I get a business credit card?

Startup for what? This site?

Establishing business credit is very similar to personal credit, you can’t just start a company and pick up a credit card. Businesses have credit ratings just like people, the main supplier of business credit reporting is Dunn & Bradstreet.

You have to do the same thing to establish credit with them as you would for yourself like paying your bills on time. A new business will never be granted any sort of credit without checking your personal credit (you will personally guarantee the credit) or requiring some sort of collateral.

Only after your company has regular income will you be able to get unsecured credit, but that will probably take a couple of years.

FOR THE FIRST TRAINING SCHOOL YOU MUST PAY FROM YOUR OWN POCKET,AND MABYE FOR SECOND....THEN LATER(IF YOU ARE CLEVER),AFTER ANY JOB YOU WILL PUT SOME MONEY ON SIDE TO FINANCE MORE AND MORE OF YOUR TRAINING COURSES.BECAUSE THE MAN LEARNS WHOLE OF HIS LIFE,AND YOU WILL NEVER SAY "now I know everything",or "I think I have enough of training".

IF YOU WHANT TO HAVE SUCCESSFUL CAREER IN THIS KIND OF JOB,STAY ALIVE...YOU MUST NEVER STOP TRAINING AND INVESTING IN YOUR SELF.
