Was wondering if there were any other Expats here besides be?
When not working in the sandbox I live in Jakarta, Indonesia in S/E Asia. Man it is easy living there, big condo (1/3 the price compares to the US), full time maid, driver, tons of business opportunities, everything is only a fraction of the cost in the west and then there’s the women:)

James,
Got a good friend in Singapore and will be heading there to see her on my first break.
I do miss Perth though.

How hard is it for an American to get citizenship over in Indonesia? Don't they have a growing problem with muslim extremists over there right now also or am I getting things confused.

Indonesia has a very small problem with extremists since the Australian embassy and Bali bombing. The government (democratically elected) cracks down hard on anyone who even hints at violence.
Indonesia is a “moderate†Islamic country, girls wear miniskirts in the shopping malls, 1000+ people capacity discos, pork barbecue restaurants and the best surfing and diving in the world.
It may be Islamic….but it is still S/E Asia baby:)
I don’t have citizenship in Indo, I just live there. Americans can stay 30 days at a time, if you need longer you can get residency if you plan on staying throughout the year.
There are great opportunities to make some cash everywhere in S/E Asia. If you have a good head on your shoulders, can spot an opportunity and have a little cash it is easy to do well there. Combine that with the cheap living and beautiful women, you cant go wrong.
DirSec: You’re going to Singapore? Its pretty cool there (1 hour flight from Indo), it is similar to most other big cities around the world. Bas-ass girls there!
It really is the life of Bryan

Yeah, it was voted "Second Safest City in the World"
I haven't been there since '89 but...
Now if they'd quit censoring so much from movies. lol
If anyone goes there, just stay away from the 4F.

My little tip having been out there once- bit of a backpacking holiday- watch out for the ladyboys, unless you're into that kinda thing.
