As a private sector EP agent that pays for all his training out of pocket.....what psd school/training group would be good and cost effective at the same time?

I would look at Executive Security International or Blackwater's Academy.

If I was a US Citizen (and I sincerely wish I was!), then I wouldn't hesitate to do the BW Academy.

Out of the multitude of schools out there, it is the ONLY course to actually offer you a job IF you pass. And the cost is paid after you start working.

Naturally though, I'd say there's a few months waiting list...

I would recommend Steele, but hey, it's not like I'm partial or anything ;)

Hey I'm no expert on the schools out there, but the December issue of Swat Magazine has a really good article on a school called Tactical Response. Not that you can beleive everything you read, but the author gave it a great review. Oh, and it just happens to be in my hometown as a kid. You can chect out their web site at www.tacticalresponse.com, and read bios on all the instructors. If anyone else has any intel on them good or bad, let me know.

In South Africa is a Executive protection school that all the Brit companies recommend, it has firearms, driving and Tactical Paramedicine , with live patients and night shifts in the townships, All you pay when you are here is for lunch every thing is included in the price.
Send me a PM so we can talk about TR and there staff
